Wonkhe presents: Making sense of higher education

Until recently vice chancellor of the University of Birmingham, and former chief executive of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) as well as countless other sector roles, David Eastwood knows where the levers of influence are, and over the course of his varied career has probably forgotten more about how higher education works than most of us will ever know. He’s also given up a tremendous amount of his time to mentor future leaders in the sector, with his protégés dotted around senior positions all over the UK and further afield.  In conversation with Wonkhe’s editor in chief Mark Leach, he’ll share some of the insight he has gleaned along the way and give his view on where the sector should go next.
